Snapshots in time are a treasure to behold. There are memories that should be kept forever. DigitalCamcorderAuction.com can help you preserve your dreams, expectations and experiences at a fraction of the cost that you would find at your corner electronics store. From software, hardware, accessories, cameras and camcorders – we are here. You can join EBay for free and bid on any product to find an even better bargain than other online stores. The convenience of online shopping can’t be beat!
Do you need ideas on how to purchase the right thing? Let us help.
• Resolution. The more advanced you are, the more this will matter.
• Batteries Anyone? The rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are fantastic on the one hand because you don’t need to keep purchasing new “throw always”. BUT if you travel overseas the power requirement may be different rendering the charger useless. AA batteries are best in this instance.
• Close, Telephoto or Zoom? Digital zoom happens within the camera and optical zoom you control. Bring something close or push it farther away.
• Where do I put my pictures and videos? Not a single card, that’s for sure. Always have a backup. As with any electronic device, there is always a possibility of losing your data due to something as simple as static electricity or accidentally dropping your card on the ground.
• Software. The programs originally designed for graphic arts and professionals can be intimidating to a new user. There are simple programs out there that allow access to fun borders, a little bit of color correction, red-eye deletion and cropping tools.
• Sharing. Well – don’t keep those masterpieces all to yourself! Use a good photo printer or online sharing service to get them out there.
New cameras and camcorders can cost you 100s to 1000s of dollars to purchase. You needn’t worry over a used item. They cost less than new and can do everything the $100 or $1000 one would at a greatly reduced price. Nothing is different except the age of the item. Camcorders come with different media to record on. Your personal preference and what type of event you are recording will have an affect on which type you purchase.
MiniDV cassettes are the most prolific in the camcorder usage. They come both in digital video and high def. Extremely compact, you can hold about 60 minutes on each. The MiniDV video can be played back on your TV or VCR and come in models with the more clear-cut lens and have better effects than the D8. The MiniDV will probably last forever as a way to record.
The Digital 8 (D8) would be a smooth transition for the consumer who owns an 8mm tapes. The D8 is small, but not as compact as the MiniDV. The signals are stronger on a D8 camcorder, but they lack the clean quality found on the MiniDV. Other forms of storage include DVD’s and SD cards.
The Secure Digital (SD) cards come as small as 512MB up to 32GB. The SD cards are the miniature cards of the multi media cards (MMC). There is only one possible way of insertion of the card into the camcorder, so if it doesn’t fit – don’t force it. The transfer rate is 1-20MB per second. The different speeds (i.e. 6x) match up to how many megabytes/second are transferred. With adapters, the SD card can be inserted into card readers on your computer.
Formats for camcorders include both analog and digital. Both options come with low and high bandwidth or pixel density. Speaking of which, what exactly is a pixel?
Pixels (picture-pix elements) are the dots or squares that have a combined density to form an image. A pixel will use the CMYK or RGB rudiment of colorization. Larger pixel numbers result in a clear resolution. Pixels are measured in PX (pixel), PPI (points per inch) and DPI (dots per inch). All of these terms on cameras and camcorders mean the same thing. A megapixel is one million pixels per one pixel.
The features you choose will allow you to do different things with your camera or camcorder. For indoor pictures, recitals, plays and family activities you will want something stable and can handle low light situations. For sporting events a fast shutter speed and a large zoom are most important. When you travel a lot you will want to have a long battery life for your camera and camcorder.
Whichever route you chose DigitalCamcorderAuction.com should have it. From cameras and camcorders to SD cards, software and accessories – we carry them all! A one-stop, easy to use site that makes bidding on EBay a breeze!
